MICHIGAN — A man who was reported missing over the weekend was found dead near his home, according to Michigan State Police.
Authorities said 59-year-old Gregory Brisboy was reported missing by his family after he had not been seen or heard from for more than 24 hours. Police said Brisboy left his home near northeast Cutler Road on foot Saturday without shoes, a wallet or a cellphone.
Michigan State Police confirmed Monday morning that Brisboy was located deceased in an area near his residence.
Police said the investigation into his death is ongoing, but they do not believe the circumstances are suspicious. Authorities said the death appears to be consistent with exposure to the elements.
“Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones during this difficult time,” police said in a statement.
