TEXAS — A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until midnight Monday for several counties in West Texas, with wet snow and slick travel conditions expected to affect parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory covers Martin, Howard, Ector, Midland, and Glasscock counties, including the cities of Garden City, Big Spring, Stanton, Midland, and Odessa.

Forecasters say periods of wet snow are expected through the evening hours, with additional snow and sleet accumulations of up to one inch possible. While totals are expected to remain relatively light, officials warn that even small amounts of snow and sleet can create hazardous driving conditions.
Roads, especially bridges and overpasses, are likely to become slick, increasing the risk of accidents. The hazardous conditions could have the greatest impact during the Monday evening commute, when traffic volumes are typically higher.
Drivers across the affected areas are urged to slow down, allow extra travel time, and use caution if travel is necessary. Motorists can check current road conditions by calling 800-452-9292 or visiting drivetexas.org.
The advisory is scheduled to expire at midnight CST, though motorists are reminded that lingering slick spots could remain even after precipitation ends.
