FLORIDA — As most of the central and eastern U.S. deal with a widespread winter storm, Florida residents are looking at the possibility of their own taste of winter next weekend.
According to the latest run of the GFS model, it shows measurable snowfall in the Florida panhandle on Saturday, January 31, 2026, and Sunday, February 1, 2026.

It’s important to note that this is a model run, not a forecast. Things can and will change with the event being eight days out.
Currently, the model has the snow in the most western areas of the panhandle including Bratt, Century, McDavid, and areas along the AL/FL border.
At this time, the model is showing approximately 1-5 inches in this area.
Temperatures are currently forecasted to be in the low 20s next weekend.
