McDonald’s employee arrested for pointing gun at customers in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — An 18-year-old McDonald’s employee was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly pointing a gun at customers at a downtown Louisville restaurant.

Louisville police responded around 1:30 a.m. to the McDonald’s at 301 University Boulevard, near S. Floyd Street.

According to the arrest report, three customers told officers they were ordering food and admitted to being “a little loud” when employee Gregory White allegedly pulled out a gun, racked the slide, and pointed it at them.

Police said White resisted officers when they attempted to detain him, swinging at one officer and briefly placing another in a headlock. One officer sustained minor lacerations to the arms.

No gun was recovered on White at the scene. He later admitted to handing the firearm to someone who had left, and while he acknowledged racking the slide, he denied pointing the weapon at anyone. A witness at the scene contradicted that claim.

White was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections at approximately 2:15 a.m. He is scheduled to appear in arraignment court on October 31.
