MARYLAND — Schools across Maryland are adjusting schedules for Tuesday, December 2, as winter weather prompts widespread delays and a limited number of closures.

Baltimore City Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay, with no morning Pre-K classes. Officials noted that offices will open on time and that any updates will be announced by 7:30 a.m.

Baltimore County Schools, Washington County Public Schools, and Harford County Public Schools will also open two hours late, with Washington County employees operating under Code Yellow.

Several private and parochial schools—including Baltimore Lab School, Catholic High School of Baltimore, Chapelgate Christian Academy, Concordia Prep, Mercy High School, St. Elizabeth School, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church & School—will open two hours late with reevaluations planned for the morning. Cathedral Christian Academy is closed for both the morning and afternoon.

Fort Detrick will open at 10 a.m., while Rock Church Academy, Villa Maria School at Dulaney Valley, OLMC Early Learning Program, and Woodbrook Early Education Center announced opening times between 9 and 10 a.m. Towson University will open at 9:30 a.m., although essential personnel are expected to report on time.

School officials urge families to monitor communications for potential changes as weather conditions continue to affect travel throughout the region.
