YOUNGSTOWN — A man is receiving treatment at St. Elizabeth Health Center after being injured in a shooting around 1:40 p.m. Friday on the Himrod Avenue Expressway.
The shooting occurred as the man was in a car traveling westbound near the point where the expressway merges onto Interstate 680.
According to a police spokesperson, the victim was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle, though it’s unclear whether he was the driver or a passenger.
Following the incident, authorities blocked the entrance to Interstate 680 north and Market Street as part of the investigation.
