OHIO — A man was critically injured in a shooting early Friday morning on State Route 161 near Interstate 270.
According to the Blendon Township Police Department, officers responded to a call around 2:10 a.m. reporting a shooting on Route 161, west of Sunbury Road.
When officers arrived, they found a car pulled over to the side of the road with a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition.
As a result of the investigation, the ramp from Route 161 to I-270 north and south was temporarily closed but has since been reopened.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the case.
Authorities have not released any information about a possible suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
