Man arrested in Ohio for attempting to lure 4-year-old

CANTON — Jackson Township police arrested a 41-year-old man from Indiana after he allegedly tried to lure a 4-year-old boy and his father into his vehicle.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 15, around 6:45 p.m. in the 2900 block of Whipple Avenue Northwest in Canton.

According to police, the suspect approached the father and son and attempted to entice them into his vehicle by offering money.

After receiving reports of a suspicious person, officers arrested the man and charged him with child enticement.

He is currently being held at the Stark County Jail.
