OHIO — A traffic stop in Priceville on Monday night led to the arrest of an Ohio man wanted across multiple states on serious felony charges.
Priceville police reported that officers pulled over a car on I-65 southbound for improper lane usage around 11:30 p.m.
During the stop, a narcotics investigation began, uncovering fentanyl and marijuana in the vehicle.
Police said a passenger, later identified as 38-year-old Steven White from Cleveland, Ohio, initially provided false information.
Officers soon discovered that White was a fugitive with nationwide extradition warrants for serious charges, including rape, kidnapping, sexual assault, importuning, compelling prostitution, and aggravated assault.
White was arrested and now faces additional charges in Alabama, including trafficking fentanyl, unlawful possession of marijuana, and providing false identity to hinder prosecution.
He is currently held in the Morgan County Jail without bond.
