OHIO — A 43-year-old man was booked into the Mahoning County Jail Wednesday night on a charge of aggravated robbery after allegedly striking another man in the face with a bottle and stealing his bicycle.
Police were called around 10:45 p.m. to a gas station on the 3200 block of Market Street, where the victim reported he had been talking to the suspect when the man suddenly hit him in the face with a bottle and rode away on his bicycle.
Officers later located the bicycle at a gas station on the 2501 block of Market Street. The suspect was inside the station but was handcuffed after exiting and providing his name. The victim positively identified the man, telling him, “I can’t believe you would do this to me.”
Charges have not yet been filed in municipal court, and it is unclear if the victim required further medical treatment for his injuries.
