LOUISIANA — Live Oak High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning as deputies investigated a reported threat, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the school received a threatening call around 9 a.m., prompting school officials to initiate a lockdown as a precaution.
Deputies responded to the campus and began investigating the situation. Officials said there is currently no evidence indicating a credible threat to the school.
Despite that, the lockdown remained in place out of an abundance of caution while the investigation continued.
Parents will be notified once the lockdown is lifted, according to authorities.
The investigation remains ongoing.
