SOUTH CAROLINA — A lockdown at Blenheim Middle School of Discovery was lifted Tuesday morning following a reported threat, according to authorities.
The Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office said the lockdown was implemented as a precaution due to a vehicle pursuit initiated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol in the area.
Deputies confirmed that both suspects involved in the pursuit have been taken into custody.
School officials said there was no threat inside the school, and all students, faculty and staff remained safe during the incident.
As of 10 a.m., the school had resumed normal operations.
No additional details have been released.
