Kentucky woman arrested for murder of mother

KENTUCKY — A Kentucky woman, 32-year-old Torilena Fields, has been charged with murder after her mother’s dismembered body was discovered at their home, with parts of the body reportedly “cooked” in an oven.

Fields has been indicted on several charges, including murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and animal cruelty.

According to an indictment, Fields is accused of shooting her mother, Trudy Fields, in the head and stabbing her multiple times.

It also alleges that she dismembered her mother’s body and put it in an oven.

Additionally, between October 8 and 9, Fields allegedly tortured and killed a domestic dog.

The disturbing discovery was made when a repair worker arrived at the Brierly Ridge Road residence in Robertson County to work on a building for the property owner, Trudy Fields.

The worker contacted authorities, believing the body found behind the house was that of Trudy.

Kentucky State Police (KSP) troopers responded to the scene and found a dismembered body, a blood-stained mattress, and blood on the back porch. They also observed drag marks leading from the house to the body.

The citation reports that Torilena Fields was inside the home, behaving erratically and “casting spells” on the worker.

KSP’s Special Response Team was called in to apprehend Fields, who refused to leave the house until CS gas and a robot were used to get her out. Upon exiting, Fields allegedly had blood on her face, hands, and clothing.

Inside the home, officers discovered further dismembered body parts, including some in a pot inside the oven that appeared to have been cooked.

Family members, who were present at the courthouse when the charges were discussed, revealed that Torilena had recently returned to Kentucky after living in California, where she had pursued acting.

She had reportedly been involved in a motorcycle accident that resulted in brain damage, and the family was unaware of her return to the state.

Torilena Fields is set to be arraigned on October 23.
