KENTUCKY — A fifth-grade teacher in Louisville has been charged after police say she engaged in sexual conversations with a student, according to court records.
According to an arrest citation, Jefferson County Public Schools police contacted Louisville Metro Police regarding the alleged exploitation of a student.
Investigators said the incident occurred during a Non-Traditional Instruction day, when a fifth-grade math teacher, identified as Sydnee Graf, allegedly exchanged sexual messages with a student.
Police said screenshots and video recordings of the conversations showed discussions about sexual acts, including oral sex. Investigators reported that the student involved was younger than 12 years old.
The citation states that Graf made plans to meet the student on Monday. Police arrested her when she arrived to pick up the child. Authorities said Graf later gave a Mirandized statement in which she admitted to engaging in the conversations.
