Kentucky school closings and delays for Wednesday

KENTUCKY — Multiple school districts across Kentucky have announced closings, delayed openings, and virtual instruction for Wednesday, December 3, 2025, as winter weather and other concerns affect the region.

Augusta Independent Schools, Robertson County Schools, and Boyd County Public Schools will all open one hour late. Muhlenberg County Schools will delay openings by two hours, with no morning Head Start classes.

Breckinridge County Schools will operate under NTI (Non-Traditional Instruction) for both morning and afternoon sessions.

The De Paul School is closed, while Borden/Henryville Schools, Clarksville Community Schools, Crawford County Community Schools, Floyd County Head Start, Greater Clark County Schools, Lanesville Community Schools, North Harrison Community Schools, Silver Creek School Corporation, South Harrison Community Schools, and Saint John Lutheran-Lanesville will open two hours late.

Some institutions are shifting to virtual instruction, including Louisville Seminary and Purdue Polytechnic/New Albany. Additionally, Harrods Creek Baptist Church in Prospect will not hold sports practice, and St. James Catholic Parish in Elizabethtown has canceled services. Families are urged to monitor local announcements and drive safely.
