KENTUCKY — Meade County Schools in Brandenburg, Kentucky, will operate on a one-hour delay Thursday morning, December 4, 2025.
District officials announced the schedule change on Wednesday to give transportation crews, staff, and families additional time to prepare before students arrive.
While the district did not immediately provide a specific reason for the delay, such adjustments are commonly made during the winter season to address weather-related concerns, including slick roads, low visibility, or freezing temperatures.
A delayed start allows extra time for buses to safely navigate morning routes and for facilities staff to ensure school grounds are ready for students.
Families are encouraged to monitor official district communications for any further announcements. All bus pickup times and school start times will shift by one hour, but the remainder of the school day is expected to proceed on a normal schedule. Parents and guardians are advised to plan accordingly for the modified start.
Any other closings and delays will be added as they come in.
