KENTUCKY — The Glasgow Police Department is urging parents to carefully check Halloween candy after receiving a report of a possible tampering incident.
Major Terry Flatt, the department’s public information officer, said Sunday that police were notified about candy that appeared to contain a needle.

“We received a report of candy tampering and wanted to make the community aware,” Flatt said.
The reported incident occurred within the Glasgow community.
Authorities are reminding families to inspect all Halloween treats before allowing children to consume them.
