OHIO — A 13-year-old Ohio boy has been charged with murder in the death of 64-year-old Sheila “Denise” Tenpenny, who was found dead in her Fairfax home on Feb. 2.
Authorities say the teen, who also lives in Fairfax, broke into Tenpenny’s home off Germania Street and killed her.
After police deemed her death suspicious, they requested assistance from the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
The teen was arrested Wednesday night and formally charged Thursday in Hamilton County Juvenile Court. He is currently being held at the county youth center.
Officials previously stated that the suspect likely sustained injuries during the crime and may have had visible cuts or bruises on his hands, wrists, and forearms.
Tenpenny, who lived alone, was discovered inside her home the morning of Feb. 2. The investigation remains ongoing.
