OHIO — A Mega Millions ticket worth $112 million was sold in South Euclid ahead of the Friday, April 18, 2025, drawing, according to the Ohio Lottery.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Giant Eagle located at 4401 Mayfield Road.
The lucky player matched all five white balls — 5, 13, 15, 17, and 28 — along with the gold Mega Ball 1, securing the jackpot.
The winner, who chose their own numbers, now has the option to claim the full jackpot as a 30-year annuity or take a one-time cash payout of $49.3 million.
The winner has 180 days to come forward.
This marks the first jackpot win since the Mega Millions game was updated on April 5 to include bigger jackpots, better odds, and a built-in multiplier.
Tickets now cost $5 per wager, with every non-jackpot prize boosted by multipliers ranging from 2X to 10X. All winning tickets are worth at least $10.
Ohio has now produced 21 Mega Millions jackpot winners and 65 second-tier winners of $1 million or more since joining the game.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with drawings held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. in Atlanta, Georgia.
