OHIO — A 27-year-old inmate at the Cuyahoga County Corrections Jail died Thursday night after experiencing a medical emergency.
Nathan Kinney collapsed while participating in recreational activities inside the facility, according to Cuyahoga County Press Secretary Jennifer Ciaccia.
Corrections and medical staff responded immediately, providing medical aid before medics transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Kinney had been booked into the jail on charges of felonious assault and aggravated burglary.
The Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Police arrested him on Dec. 28, 2024.
The cause of Kinney’s death remains under investigation.
