INDIANA — Numerous schools across Indiana have announced delayed openings or closings for Tuesday, December 2, due to weather and safety concerns.

Many districts, including Alexandria Community School Corp, Anderson Community School Corp, Anderson Preparatory Academy, Blackford County Schools, Clark-Pleasant Community School Corp, Covington Community Schools, Eastern Hancock Community School Corp, Eastern Howard School Corp, and several others, will open two hours late. Central Nine Career Center in Greenwood will have no morning session, while MSD Martinsville Schools will conduct an e-learning day.

Other schools implementing delayed schedules include Greenwood Christian Academy, Hope Academy, Horizon Christian School, Lewis Cass Schools, Madison-Grant United School Corp, Marion Community Schools, North Miami Community Schools, Tipton Community Schools, Tri-Central Community Schools, and West Lafayette Community Schools.

Some institutions, such as St. Joan of Arc & Patrick School in Kokomo, Redeemer Lutheran School, and Summit Salon Academy, have adjusted care or class schedules, while others, including Bible Study Fellowship locations, are closed.

Officials advise students, parents, and staff to check school websites for updates and to exercise caution during morning commutes. Safety remains the top priority as winter conditions affect the region.
