
INDIANA — Numerous Indiana schools have announced closures, virtual learning days, or delayed openings for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, as districts adjust schedules in response to weather and travel conditions. Only schools are included in this report.
Several school corporations will be closed Thursday. These include Bridgman Public Schools, Buchanan Community Schools, Eau Claire Public Schools, La Porte Community Schools, New Prairie United School Corporation, South Bend Community School Corporation, South Central Community Schools, and River Montessori High School.
Several districts will shift to virtual or e-learning Thursday, including Bremen Public Schools, Michigan City Area Schools, Plymouth Community Schools, Purdue Polytechnic High School, Union-North United Schools, and Westville Schools.
Many other Indiana schools will open on a two-hour delay, including Argos Community Schools, Culver Community Schools, Fairfield Community Schools, John Glenn School Corporation, Knox Community Schools, North Judson–San Pierre School Corporation, Oregon-Davis School Corporation, Rochester Community School Corporation, Tippecanoe Valley Schools, Triton School Corporation, Wa-Nee Community Schools, Warsaw Community Schools, and Wawasee Community School Corporation.
Parents and students are encouraged to monitor official school communications for updates on transportation, meal services, and any changes to extracurricular activities.
