TENNESSEE — A gun was recovered from a student at Antioch High School on Thursday morning during a routine security screening, school officials said.
According to a spokesperson for Metro Nashville Public Schools, the firearm was discovered in the student’s possession during a concealed weapon screening as the student entered the building.
No injuries were reported, and all students and staff are safe.
District officials stated there is no indication the student intended to use the weapon on campus.
The student’s parents have been notified, and the incident remains under investigation.
