SOUTH CAROLINA — A grand larceny suspect was arrested Thursday following a joint operation by local and state law enforcement agencies, authorities said.
According to the Marlboro Sheriff’s Office and the SLED Fugitive Task Force, James Kevin Barnhardt was taken into custody and charged with three counts of grand larceny and one count of malicious injury to property.
Deputies said Barnhardt was located hiding in a bedroom after law enforcement made entry into a residence. He was arrested without incident.
Barnhardt is being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center, where he is awaiting an appearance before a judge.
