Gerber products sold in Ohio recalled due to choking risk

OHIO — Gerber Products Company has issued a recall of all batches of GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS due to a potential choking hazard for infants and young children.

The recall affects products sold nationwide, including in Ohio.

The affected teething sticks, available in Strawberry Apple and Banana flavors, were sold online and in retail stores across the state. The recall applies to all lot codes of the following products:

  • GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS – STRAWBERRY APPLE (UPC: 0 15000 04618 7)
  • GERBER® SOOTHE N CHEW® TEETHING STICKS – BANANA (UPC: 0 15000 04608 8 and 0 15000 01015 7)

The recall was initiated following consumer complaints, including one reported emergency room visit.

Consumers should not feed these products to their children and may return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
