OHIO — A 35-year-old man from Byron, Georgia, died Sunday morning after a paraglider crash in West Portsmouth.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the incident was called in around 9:35 a.m. near Earl Thomas Conley Park, off US-52. Witnesses said the paraglider fell from the sky while flying over a field near the Ohio River.
The victim, identified as Timothy A. Williams, sustained fatal injuries at the scene. Authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted by Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Portsmouth Ambulance, and the Scioto County Sheriff’s Department.
