NORTH CAROLINA — Emergency crews are responding to a ruptured gas line along South Main Street between Cimarron Parkway and Friendship Chapel Road in Wake Forest, officials said Wednesday.
Traffic is currently blocked in both directions in the affected area. The cause of the rupture has not yet been determined.
Authorities said they are monitoring the situation for safety. No evacuations have been ordered at this time.
Enbridge Gas crews are on scene working to contain and repair the leak. There is no estimated time for when the repairs will be complete, officials said.
