
TENNESSEE — Four people were injured in a crash Thursday evening in Unicoi County, according to authorities.
The crash occurred just after 7 p.m. on Unicoi Drive near Sugar Hollow Road. A report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol stated that a Toyota Prius was traveling southbound while a GMC Yukon was traveling northbound.
Investigators said the Toyota Prius crossed the center line and struck the GMC Yukon head-on.
The driver of the Toyota, the driver of the GMC, and two passengers in the GMC were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities reported that all injuries were non-life-threatening.
The driver of the Toyota Prius was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic. The crash remains under investigation.
