OHIO — Four teenagers were injured, at least two of them seriously, in a crash Friday morning in Williams County, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened around 9:43 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 49 and U.S. 20.

Investigators reported that 19-year-old Trevor Boss of Cuyahoga Falls was driving north in a 2011 Subaru Legacy when he stopped at a stop sign but failed to yield to traffic. His vehicle was struck by an eastbound 2007 Freightliner CST 120 driven by 43-year-old Gary Mays of Toledo.

The Subaru veered off the roadway and struck a traffic sign, while the semi went off the road before coming to a stop east of the intersection.

Mays suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkview Montpelier Hospital. Boss and his front-seat passenger, 18-year-old Isaak Nespo of Akron, were taken by EMS to Cameron Hospital in Angola, Indiana.

Another passenger, 18-year-old Skyler Nespo of Akron, was ejected from the Subaru and flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he remains in serious condition. A fourth passenger, 19-year-old Brendan Ellis of Akron, was also flown to Parkview Regional in serious condition.

Troopers said they were assisted at the scene by the Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Northwest Fire and Rescue, the Ohio Department of Transportation and two local towing companies.
