Four people injured following vehicle crash in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Four people were taken to the hospital Wednesday morning following a head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver on Western Boulevard, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

The crash happened around 5:30 a.m. when a driver traveling the wrong way from Ashe Avenue near Pullen Park collided head-on with another vehicle.

Two occupants from each vehicle — four people in total — were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Investigators have ruled out impairment as a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
