
MICHIGAN — Four people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Jamestown Township, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. in the 200 block of Adams Street. Deputies responded to the scene along with the Jamestown Township Fire Department and LIFE EMS.
Investigators said a 2006 Mercury Mariner, driven by a 21-year-old Zeeland man, was traveling eastbound on Adams Street when it crossed the center line into the westbound lane. The vehicle collided with a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 63-year-old Byron Center woman.
The driver of the Mariner was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire crews. His passenger, a 79-year-old Zeeland man, was ejected from the vehicle. Authorities said neither man was wearing a seatbelt. Both were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Jeep and her passenger, a 65-year-old Byron Center man, were also injured and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
