FLORIDA — Authorities in Florida are investigating a shooting that left four people injured Tuesday afternoon in Fort Pierce.
According to the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a reported shooting at approximately 1:15 p.m. in the 3600 block of Avenue R. When deputies arrived, they secured the scene and began providing aid to the victims.
Officials said deputies worked alongside personnel from the St. Lucie County Fire District to treat those injured. Four people were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. The current conditions of the victims have not been released.
The shooting occurred in Fort Pierce. Authorities have not released details about a possible suspect or what may have led to the incident.
