VIRGINIA — Four people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on Woodrow Wilson Parkway (Route 262), according to Virginia State Police.
Officials say a Chevy Silverado pickup truck was traveling south on Route 262 toward Interstate 81 when it crossed the median, entered the northbound lanes, and went up an embankment.
The truck then veered back into the northbound lanes and collided with a Hyundai Sonata sedan.
The driver and two passengers in the sedan sustained serious injuries and were taken to UVA Medical Center.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to an unnamed area hospital.
The crash caused traffic delays and lane closures until it was cleared Friday afternoon, according to VDOT 511 data.
Virginia State Police is investigating the cause of the crash.
