GEORGIA — Four men are facing federal charges following a series of drug trafficking raids that led to the seizure of 44 pounds of methamphetamine in metro Atlanta, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Authorities said law enforcement officers recovered approximately 44 pounds of meth and two firearms during operations in Douglasville and Fayetteville this week.
Investigators allege that Pablo Soria-Porras and Eduardo Benitez-Jacinto sold two pounds of methamphetamine to an undercover DEA agent in Lithia Springs on Feb. 25. A search warrant executed March 24 at a Douglasville home led to the arrest of Benitez-Jacinto and Sergio Solano-Sanchez, where agents reportedly found 33 pounds of meth.
In a separate incident, officials said Jesus Diaz Iniguez was stopped in Fayetteville and found in possession of 11 pounds of methamphetamine.
Solano-Sanchez, Benitez-Jacinto and Iniguez have appeared in federal court and remain in custody.
A fourth suspect, identified as 23-year-old Pablo Soria-Porras, remains at large. Authorities are asking anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact law enforcement.
Officials said the arrests are part of “Operation Take Back America,” a federal initiative aimed at targeting drug trafficking organizations and transnational criminal groups.
The case is being prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia.
