VIRGINIA — A narcotics investigation led by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of illegal drugs and firearms, authorities announced this week.
On July 10, deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Drug Interdiction Unit stopped a vehicle on Greensboro Road for a traffic violation. During the stop, K9 Zajo alerted to the presence of narcotics.
A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine, cocaine, approximately 3 pounds of marijuana, and a firearm. The two occupants were arrested and taken to the Henry County Adult Detention Center.
Information obtained during the traffic stop, along with previous surveillance of a residence on Eggleston Falls Road in Ridgeway, led investigators to secure a search warrant.
The Henry County SWAT Team executed the warrant and discovered a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine, several firearms, and roughly 10 pounds of marijuana. Two additional suspects were arrested at the residence.
The following individuals were taken into custody:
- Adrian Reyes-Carreno: Held without bond. Charges include possession of methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of Schedule I/II drugs with a firearm, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and failure to obey a highway sign.
- Dylan Keith Smith: Held on a $3,500 secured bond. Charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I/II drugs with a firearm, and possession with intent to distribute marijuana.
- Efren Bravo-Gonzalez: Held without bond. Charged with possession of Schedule I/II drugs with a firearm, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a firearm by an undocumented immigrant.
- Juan Bravo-Morales: Currently in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The investigation remains ongoing, with additional charges possible pending the results of lab testing.
