Four people arrested following drug bust in Tennessee

TENNESSEE — Four people were arrested Wednesday following a joint drug investigation in Knox County, according to authorities.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office said its narcotics unit worked alongside agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Ninth Judicial Drug Task Force to carry out the operation.

Authorities said investigators executed a search warrant around 1 p.m. at a home on Strawberry Plains Pike. Inside the residence, deputies found three individuals identified as Shalyn Edwards, Alexandra Laplume, and John Lamb. During the search, investigators said they located fentanyl, marijuana, three handguns, and an AR-style pistol.

According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation began after a tip from Laplume. Investigators were already surveilling the home because Laplume was wanted by authorities in Putnam County. During that surveillance, officers observed a fourth individual, identified as Antario Montgomery, leaving the residence in a white Dodge Charger.

Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Montgomery, citing his criminal history. Police said Montgomery provided information about who was living at the home, which helped investigators secure the search warrant.

All four individuals were taken into custody and are facing multiple drug- and firearm-related charges. The investigation remains ongoing.
