
SOUTH CAROLINA — Four people were arrested Thursday after a search conducted on the 400 block of Rio Drive in Darlington County, according to Sheriff Michael August of the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO).
The DCSO Drug Unit and Special Incident Response Team carried out the search with assistance from sheriff’s deputies and Hartsville police officers. During the operation, officers recovered 1.14 grams of cocaine, marijuana, numerous boxes of ammunition and pills.
Brad Britt, Jonathan Wilson, Candace Humphries and Lisa Hopkins were taken into custody at the scene.
Britt faces charges including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, simple possession of marijuana, possession of fentanyl and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted offender. Humphries was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and simple possession of marijuana. Hopkins was charged with simple possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule III narcotic, possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of fentanyl.
All four suspects appeared before a Darlington County Magistrate on Friday morning. Britt’s bond was set at $40,615; Hopkins’ at $32,615; and Humphries and Wilson at $25,615 each.
Officials say the investigation remains active and additional information may be released.
