KENTUCKY — Four people were arrested Thursday in connection with a suspected drug trafficking operation in Daviess County, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said a search warrant was executed Thursday morning at a home in the 900 block of East 3rd Street in Owensboro following a months-long investigation.

Investigators reported multiple undercover purchases of methamphetamine were made during the investigation. During the search, deputies said they found large quantities of meth along with scales, baggies and other items consistent with drug trafficking.

Four people inside the home were taken into custody. Officials identified them as 69-year-old James Belcher, 46-year-old Daniel French, 35-year-old Mariah Smith and 36-year-old Whitney Belcher.

James Belcher and French are facing multiple drug-related charges. Smith and Whitney Belcher were arrested on failure to appear bench warrants, authorities said.

Officials said the investigation remains ongoing.
