KANSAS — Four individuals were arrested on multiple drug and weapon-related charges following a traffic stop in Parsons on Sunday, May 11, according to the Labette County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy initiated the stop at the intersection of Heacock and Grand Streets. During the stop, K9 Benny performed an open-air sniff and indicated the presence of narcotics.

A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a white bag containing suspected methamphetamines, digital scales, and several firearms, including a sawed-off shotgun.

One of the guns had a serial number that had previously been reported stolen. Deputies also located a mobile meth lab in the bed of the truck.

Following the traffic stop, deputies conducted a probation search of a related residence, where they found additional firearms, methamphetamines, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Four people were taken into custody and now face charges including possession and manufacturing of methamphetamines, possession of stolen weapons, and child endangerment.
