Four people arrested following drug bust in Florida

FLORIDA — Four people were arrested Wednesday in North Fort Myers after deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Officediscovered an active drug transaction while searching for a wanted suspect, authorities said.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were in the area of Hart Drive pursuing a wanted person when they approached an RV parked in a driveway with its door open and lights on. Deputies entered the RV to make contact with the occupants in hopes of locating the fleeing suspect.

Once inside, deputies found four individuals — Robert BraitlingTyler BrownJoshua Clark, and Tiffani Glover — allegedly in the middle of a drug deal.

Body camera footage released by the sheriff’s office shows the individuals throwing baggies containing suspected methamphetamine and marijuana near one of the suspects as deputies entered the RV.

Law enforcement reported recovering approximately 116 grams of methamphetamine, fentanyl residue, pills, syringes and a glass pipe from inside the RV. All four individuals were taken into custody and face charges that include trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies did not specify whether the wanted suspect they were originally pursuing was located or whether that individual was among those arrested.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said body camera footage of the incident has been posted to the agency’s Facebook page. The investigation remains ongoing.
