OHIO — Four juveniles have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man during an alleged robbery in east Columbus.
Columbus police say two boys, ages 12 and 15, were arrested on May 2 and charged with the murder of 34-year-old Jamal Jones.
Jones was found shot at The Villages at Eden Crossing apartment complex, located in the Shady Lane neighborhood.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Fountain Lane just before 4 a.m. on April 28.
Columbus Fire medics transported Jones to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:38 a.m.
Detectives initially interviewed four individuals suspected of involvement in the robbery and shooting.
The two male juveniles were charged shortly after, while two female teenagers were questioned and released.
However, police announced that the two girls were later arrested on Tuesday for their roles in the crime.
All four juveniles are now being held at the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center as the investigation continues.
