MICHIGAN — A five-month drug investigation in Saginaw led to the seizure of large quantities of cocaine, cash, vehicles and luxury items, according to authorities.
The BAYANET drug task force, working with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, executed seven search warrants simultaneously early Friday across multiple locations in the Great Lakes Bay Region.
Investigators said the raids targeted a suspected cocaine dealer believed to be operating a large-scale drug trafficking operation between Saginaw and Detroit. Detectives conducted surveillance on multiple trips between the two cities during the investigation.
Authorities said they seized nearly 10 kilograms of cocaine, including 9.9 kilograms of powder cocaine, 600 grams of cocaine and 3 ounces of crack cocaine. Officers also discovered a cocaine and crack processing lab and recovered three firearms.
In addition to drugs, police seized approximately $16,000 in cash, two residences and several vehicles, including a 2014 Bentley, a 2021 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2014 Lexus and a 2021 GMC Yukon.
Investigators also recovered more than 200 pairs of designer shoes and 60 designer purses believed to be tied to the operation.
Four Saginaw men, ages 43, 44, 52 and 53, were arrested and lodged in the Saginaw County Jail on unspecified charges. Authorities said their identities were not released over the weekend.
All four suspects remained in custody as of Monday while awaiting court proceedings. The investigation remains ongoing, with several seized items pending forfeiture proceedings.
BAYANET is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force that investigates drug activity in Bay, Gladwin, Midland and Saginaw counties.
