TENNESSEE — Authorities in Dyer and Lake counties are investigating the deaths of four individuals believed to be connected to the recent discovery of an abandoned baby in Dyer County.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box confirmed Wednesday that the bodies were located in Lake County, though the exact location has not been released.

The investigation appears to be tied to an incident Tuesday in which a baby was found in a car seat outside a residence on Old Highway 20 near the Tigrett area.

According to deputies, witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored minivan or a white midsize SUV drop the baby off at the home. The infant was unharmed and has since been identified.

Following the discovery, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said it was seeking information on the whereabouts of Cortney Rose, Matthew Wilson, and Adrianna Williams. It is unclear at this time whether those individuals are among the deceased.

The identities of the four victims are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Sheriff Box praised the quick response and cooperation of Lake County Sheriff Brian Avery and his department during the investigation. Lake County is located approximately 25 miles north of Dyer County.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the FBI are assisting with the case.

Anyone with information related to the deaths or the abandoned baby is urged to contact the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office at 731-285-2802.
