FLORIDA — Lake Minneola High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after a report of a possible gun magazine on campus, according to officials.
School administrators said a student reported seeing what appeared to be a magazine or gun clip. However, officials noted there were no reports of an actual weapon.
Out of an abundance of caution, the school initiated a lockdown while law enforcement responded to investigate the report.
Officials said in a message to families that “everyone is safe.”
Authorities have not released additional details, and it is unclear whether anything was found.
The situation remains under investigation and updates are expected as more information becomes available.
