
FLORIDA — Lake Minneola High School has been placed on lockdown Monday morning after officials received a tip reporting a bomb threat, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the school was placed in a code red status, indicating a lockdown, as deputies responded to the campus. A heavy law enforcement presence was reported in and around the school while deputies canvassed the area as a precaution.
In a statement, Lake County Schools said access to the campus was temporarily restricted during the investigation.
Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office remain on scene Monday morning working to ensure the safety of students and staff. No additional details about the threat or any potential evacuations were immediately released.
