FLORIDA — Gas prices across Florida remain above the $4 mark as drivers continue to face elevated costs at the pump. According to the latest data from AAA, the statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline currently stands at $4.057, down slightly from $4.092 yesterday but still significantly higher than levels seen earlier this year.
Current prices represent a substantial increase from one month ago, when the average stood at $3.703, and are sharply higher than the $3.153 average recorded one year ago.
The average price for mid-grade gasoline in Florida is now $4.515 per gallon, while premium fuel averages $4.852. Diesel remains elevated at an average of $5.704 per gallon.
Across Florida’s metro areas, prices vary. In the Tampa–St. Petersburg–Clearwater area, drivers are paying about $4.012 per gallon for regular fuel, while in Orlando the average is $4.064.
Miami’s average currently sits at $4.070, and in Jacksonville drivers are paying around $4.082. In Tallahassee, regular fuel averages $4.037, while motorists in the West Palm Beach–Boca Raton area are seeing some of the state’s highest prices at $4.204 per gallon.
Despite a small day-to-day decline, prices remain well above year-ago levels. The highest recorded statewide average for regular unleaded gasoline in Florida was $4.891, set on June 13, 2022. Diesel prices peaked at $5.820 per gallon on April 2, 2026.
Analysts point to elevated crude oil prices and global supply concerns as key factors keeping fuel prices high. While minor fluctuations are expected, experts say drivers should continue to prepare for above-average fuel costs in the near term.
