Five people injured following vehicle crash in South Carolina

SOUTH CAROLINA — Five people were injured Sunday evening in a three-vehicle crash that shut down lanes of traffic in Horry County.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, the crash happened around 5:04 p.m. near East Highway 9 and Water Grande Boulevard in Little River. Officials said two of the vehicles overturned in the collision.

All five injured individuals were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and the Horry County Police Department is assisting with the response.
