
PENNSYLVANIA — Five people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in South Middleton Township, officials said.
The accident occurred around 11:15 a.m. at the intersection of West Trindle and Hollenbaugh roads.
According to the New Kingstown Fire Company, the driver of one vehicle was trapped inside when crews arrived. Rescue personnel used a battery-powered hydraulic tool to remove the driver’s side door and free the individual.
Five ambulances were called to the scene to transport all injured parties to the hospital. The severity of their injuries has not been disclosed.
West Trindle Road was closed for about an hour while crews cleared the wreck.
