Five people injured following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — Five people were taken to the hospital following a serious crash late Monday night in Sylvania Township.

The crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. on Central Avenue near Sequoia. Police said the impact was so severe that the front passenger door of one car was torn off and became lodged in the front grill of an SUV.

At least one person suffered serious injuries, though the conditions of the others have not been released.

Investigators remained at the scene, taking photographs and gathering evidence to determine what led to the collision.
