SOUTH CAROLINA — Five people were arrested following a drug raid last week at a home in Lancaster County that investigators say uncovered large quantities of illegal drugs, firearms, and a stolen motorcycle.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, the raid took place Thursday, Jan. 15, at a residence along Barberville Road in the Indian Land area. Investigators said a controlled purchase of methamphetamine led to the issuance of a search warrant. Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in executing the warrant.
Deputies said six people were inside the home at the time of the search, though one individual was not involved in the investigation and was not charged. During the search, authorities reportedly seized approximately 2.2 ounces of methamphetamine, about half an ounce of cocaine, more than two dozen Xanax pills, nearly two ounces of marijuana, and digital scales.
Investigators also recovered two firearms—a Remington 12-gauge shotgun and a Ruger .380-caliber pistol—as well as a motorcycle that had been reported stolen out of Rock Hill and was found in the basement of the home.
“This has been a months-long investigation based on complaints we received and information our investigators developed over time,” said Sheriff Barry Faile.
